1. Keep it to one page

A recruiter spends on average, about 6-10 seconds per resume. Keep it brief and concise. Find an example/template below?


2. Google X, Y, Z

"Accomplished X as measured by Y, by doing Z." Ex. "Won second place out of 50 teams in hackathon at NJ Tech by working with two colleagues to develop an app that synchronizes mobile calendars."


3. quantify results

Numbers, Numbers, Numbers.... Whenever possible, include quantifiable results to showcase the impact you've made in your previous roles.


4. Style

Present your resume in a clean, organized format with clear headings, bullet points, and an easy-to-read font.


5. Tailor for the Job

Customize your resume for each application by highlighting the most relevant skills, experiences, and achievements that align with the job requirements.
 


6. Proofread!!!
